I'm here for the Anniversary but I haven't managed to create any ATCs. I'm actually finding lockdown, although I know technically we are no longer in lockdown, a time of achieving very little. I have managed the essential cards, but I'm finding it really hard to get motivated to do anything except the essential.</p><p>However, my desk: well I took this picture of a typically messy desk, lots of stuff, but nothing very exciting, a couple of those cards that you get so far with and then can't find the right paper to continue, the right colour ribbon or just don't like when it is done. The blue bit at the fron, it a piece I embossed about 5 years ago and still haven't decided what to do with it.<br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CFBuHNDV_EA/YKPc3G725jI/AAAAAAAAUM0/oV3gWf9S4j4B6l54THklJqNVd1BKsRpRQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20210518_162011.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="387" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CFBuHNDV_EA/YKPc3G725jI/AAAAAAAAUM0/oV3gWf9S4j4B6l54THklJqNVd1BKsRpRQCLcBGAsYHQ/w516-h387/20210518_162011.jpg" width="516" /></a></div><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>Having shared the boring worktop, I thought I would share the view out of the window behind, unfortunately just as I positioned myself to get a good picture, it started raining, so there are rain drops on the window, but much more important, I have sheep outside my window! Lovely, lovely sheep that remind me of Wales.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P5TIjLfyA-0/YKQaKtEUqbI/AAAAAAAAUNk/vK_qNfBboV8J2nz1Cf71jjVpJDt21EW6wCPcBGAsYHg/s4032/20210518_162109.jpg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="325" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P5TIjLfyA-0/YKQaKtEUqbI/AAAAAAAAUNk/vK_qNfBboV8J2nz1Cf71jjVpJDt21EW6wCPcBGAsYHg/w433-h325/20210518_162109.jpg" width="433" /></a></div><p><br /><br />And the birds refused to co-operate on the bird feeder for the camera.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Then I looked back at my desk and found I had a visitor there to help me not make cards.<br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nn7QpGmQWlo/YKQanBKlgtI/AAAAAAAAUNw/H5SRqlNt50QRJ4wNUqVEtNigakL6VAr7wCPcBGAsYHg/s4032/20210518_163250.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nn7QpGmQWlo/YKQanBKlgtI/AAAAAAAAUNw/H5SRqlNt50QRJ4wNUqVEtNigakL6VAr7wCPcBGAsYHg/s320/20210518_163250.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p>So that's me I am afraid, nothing exciting happening, but I couldn't miss the twelfth anniversary.</p><p>Thanks for visiting me, I will try to visit people this week, but it might be rather later that Wednesday.</p><p>Bless you all</p><p>Chris<br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p></p><br />Mrs.Dhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08853306570867209858noreply@blogger.com23tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1154152104512643249.post-35004512685497067432021-02-16T22:52:00.003+00:002021-02-16T23:08:17.259+00:00WOYWW 611, coming together to share.<p></p><p><br /> Hello, fellow Woywwers, a long time since I blogged, but felt I needed to be part of the 'family' as we grieve for the loss of a very special member of our WOYWW community. Shaz Silverwolf was such a vibrant member of the group, and she always had lovely comments to make on my posts, such an encourager. So many times I have read her posts and been inspired to try something new, a different way of using something I already have, or prompted to spend real money and buy something new, my crafting horizons were opened up by reading her posts and trying something different. And her posts always had a humorous element, so honest and unassuming and just down to earth, nothing pretentious.</p><p> I only met her at a couple crops, but she was just so warm and friendly, it felt as if I'd known her for years, an amazing personality and a larger than life lovely lady and now the world and the crafting community are going to be poorer places without her.</p><p>A lovely picture of her at the Llandudno crop, we will miss her very much.<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pkdUZx5qKMk/YCw9zvkg1hI/AAAAAAAATMQ/crQAJCkuC-sKJk_2tfsxqQ_i33qb1Y5MwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20180908_152622.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pkdUZx5qKMk/YCw9zvkg1hI/AAAAAAAATMQ/crQAJCkuC-sKJk_2tfsxqQ_i33qb1Y5MwCLcBGAsYHQ/w310-h400/20180908_152622.jpg" width="310" /></a></p><p></p><p><br /> <br /></p><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>So the order of the day is What's on your Worktop Wednesday, and here you can see my worktop, Tuesday evening to be honest, with some very lovely goodies<br /></p><p> <a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aJ-y8FGcWw8/YCxBC0f-sPI/AAAAAAAATMs/ObH9ozS0G207-oHKiZWvIpLAprJQxcaqwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20210214_114122.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="542" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aJ-y8FGcWw8/YCxBC0f-sPI/AAAAAAAATMs/ObH9ozS0G207-oHKiZWvIpLAprJQxcaqwCLcBGAsYHQ/w480-h542/20210214_114122.jpg" width="480" /></a> A smashing set of freebies from a papercraft magazine, can't remember which one, but there are, I thinnk, 7 dies, 8 masks and about 10 sheets of stamps from Craftascope. I quite frequently go on the magazine websites and enter the competitions for the freebies, and this is the second time I have won something really good. (Previously, about 5 years ago, I won my Gemini, in a similar way, just lurking at the right of the picture.)</p><p> </p><p> I'm not sure I will use all of the stamps and masks, some of them are definitely not my cup of tea, rather grungy, <a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-w8cQOGggGKc/YCxOwH3U9nI/AAAAAAAATM4/k05TJx2mpr8r2kCXhKWvPzGJSBIMwM8KgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20210214_114142.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a>but I expect I will find a home for them somewhere.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yWSTdFMBdNg/YCxPiHQ3z7I/AAAAAAAATNA/wpPkoF1eo_EgoALOjZvxYXJCrkAh3vx4gCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20210216_230315.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1761" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yWSTdFMBdNg/YCxPiHQ3z7I/AAAAAAAATNA/wpPkoF1eo_EgoALOjZvxYXJCrkAh3vx4gCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/20210216_230315.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p></p><p>So, in case you have just dropped in at my blog, and wondering what it is all about, you can find a lot more crafty desks to snoop at, over at the lovely Julia's <a href="https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Stamping ground.</a></p><p>Bless you all</p><p>Chris <br /></p><p> <br /></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br /><br /><p></p><br />Mrs.Dhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08853306570867209858noreply@blogger.com19tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1154152104512643249.post-73098650359340555832020-08-12T07:29:00.000+01:002020-08-12T07:29:34.914+01:00WOYWW 583<p> Well several weeks have gone by since I managed to post, either the days have gone by to fast, or the Mojo has been AWOL, or I have been too busy helping with the new bathroom, however the new bathroom is finished at last.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ze7KrI1YGxI/XzMJ4NZ-a2I/AAAAAAAARTw/-vgQu8rjwicnmeh6d9vtny0Zg6JmHg2pACPcBGAsYHg/s3264/20200811_140026.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2448" data-original-width="3264" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ze7KrI1YGxI/XzMJ4NZ-a2I/AAAAAAAARTw/-vgQu8rjwicnmeh6d9vtny0Zg6JmHg2pACPcBGAsYHg/s640/20200811_140026.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p>The desk is cluttered with the makings of Christmas cards, but I have to say the Mojo is still not co-operating with the need to do something.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vRp_Nw9vsRc/XzL5I38D4cI/AAAAAAAARTc/fs3gKq8fnXIayQAi-0Ib_9fjRzog-Yh5gCPcBGAsYHg/s4032/20200811_194941.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vRp_Nw9vsRc/XzL5I38D4cI/AAAAAAAARTc/fs3gKq8fnXIayQAi-0Ib_9fjRzog-Yh5gCPcBGAsYHg/s640/20200811_194941.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p>And this was a picture taken on my walk on Monday evening. sadly the camera on my phone is not brilliant at sunset pictures.<br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4vVWiG0TnO8/XzKIoue8WSI/AAAAAAAARSg/NuHipfJmEZQqg47U3-0TpXVFZty96OwqACPcBGAsYHg/s4032/20200810_201455.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4vVWiG0TnO8/XzKIoue8WSI/AAAAAAAARSg/NuHipfJmEZQqg47U3-0TpXVFZty96OwqACPcBGAsYHg/s640/20200810_201455.jpg" width="640" /></a></div> <p></p><p>and finally, this is a birthday card I made for a friend's 60th birthday a couple of week's ago. I have very little on the card desk, barely been there for a week, instead I received a very heavy parcel before the weekend, containing 2 curtains 4m wide and 4 m long and a request from my daughter to make 8 curtains, 2m by 1.7m.<br />
Have taken original curtains apart, and have all 8 ready for tape, but of course, I am now waiting for tape to arrive. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wr6Qu4KCpZc/XwT71acRErI/AAAAAAAAQ8o/-Asn_lOC3TY1rszMhJ7-yDM01MxzxvjgQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200707_200456.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wr6Qu4KCpZc/XwT71acRErI/AAAAAAAAQ8o/-Asn_lOC3TY1rszMhJ7-yDM01MxzxvjgQCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200707_200456.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
I currently only have enough tape for one pair.<br />
In the meantime, I have also been kept busy trying to prevent the house disappearing under dust as Adrian is busy converting a small shower room into a small utility room, and the larger utility room into a decent size bathroom.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
So this will be a small utility room <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qabLUQCjRVw/XwT9i8e01vI/AAAAAAAAQ80/GdPjWFUMHm42W1-pI1C87TRR_QAUf9s3gCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200617_132745.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qabLUQCjRVw/XwT9i8e01vI/AAAAAAAAQ80/GdPjWFUMHm42W1-pI1C87TRR_QAUf9s3gCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200617_132745.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
And this will be a bathroom <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kXTUv4XYr74/XwT9lI1DijI/AAAAAAAAQ84/8JwAgxjP4xk4ReP2l9pfOfu7z1Q8tuz6ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200617_132711.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kXTUv4XYr74/XwT9lI1DijI/AAAAAAAAQ84/8JwAgxjP4xk4ReP2l9pfOfu7z1Q8tuz6ACLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200617_132711.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
by the end of next Wednesday, or that's the theory.<br />
So that's all from me this week, <br />
Just time to refer you to desk queen <a href="https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Julia </a>who hosts all our crafty desks, do visit her to find lots more exciting desks to snoop at.<br />
Thanks for dropping by<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vm9-wxv2dfs/XulAY48OOCI/AAAAAAAAQsQ/Lf1-JSE4EAwBwkRvdoQFo8Dd3jSl3eZ8wCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200611_161232.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vm9-wxv2dfs/XulAY48OOCI/AAAAAAAAQsQ/Lf1-JSE4EAwBwkRvdoQFo8Dd3jSl3eZ8wCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200611_161232.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
And my desk, untouched for four days after I made some cards similar to the ones Shaz Silverwolfwas sharing, but not as good as hers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4OwnkpwLjCo/XulHMrZzDMI/AAAAAAAAQso/Y-uIk-9TaYM2TfKZeimn3LX0JpsOnZnQwCPcBGAsYHg/s1600/20200613_112816.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4OwnkpwLjCo/XulHMrZzDMI/AAAAAAAAQso/Y-uIk-9TaYM2TfKZeimn3LX0JpsOnZnQwCPcBGAsYHg/s400/20200613_112816.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
And our pot grown Christmas tree looking absolutely beautiful as it puts on new growth <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bqkEiSc34g8/XulDTGX2CTI/AAAAAAAAQsc/9QYbw2FEMe0BB5ZJGJaae9tN8IFgxfNVgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200615_103438.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bqkEiSc34g8/XulDTGX2CTI/AAAAAAAAQsc/9QYbw2FEMe0BB5ZJGJaae9tN8IFgxfNVgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/20200615_103438.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
Do go and visit desk Magister <a href="https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Julia </a>at her stamping ground to check out more crafty desks<br />
And this is where I guiltily confess that I am unlikely to be able to do much visiting today as I have a lot of plants to put in the garden, and my sewing desk is loaded with a pile of scrubs bags I promised to deliver tomorrow and they are not finished because I have been helping hubby sort out windows for the new bathroom !! So I will be digging and sewing today, and not snooping on your desks!<br />
See you all Thursday, thanks for dropping in<br />

They keep galloping around, and I can't keep up. First of all, I need to apologise to all those lovelies who commented on my page last week, that I didn't get round to many desks, somehow every time I tried to get back to the computer, Sir required my muscles or a hand or a brain!!! to help him with drains, or ordering stuff for the new bathroom. The plumber is not coming to install everything until July 16th but my man will be demolishing the utility room weeks before if I am not alert to stop him.<br />
So my desk<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-J0ANx5IwBoQ/Xt_dCPs-bAI/AAAAAAAAQo8/V44UfNGnz9IsaUPdgovAglkzWgbwDgBgwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200609_131930.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-J0ANx5IwBoQ/Xt_dCPs-bAI/AAAAAAAAQo8/V44UfNGnz9IsaUPdgovAglkzWgbwDgBgwCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20200609_131930.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
There is the beginning of a robot card for a soon to be 5 great nephew, and some Christmas stamps from Julia, and various bits of detritus left from previous card making.<br />
Last week I shared that I had to make a card for another great nephew and lacked ideas, I cheated, rang my sister who said that during lockdown young Carl had enjoyed playing chess against his dad, rather him than me, I think his dad would have check mated me in about 3 moves. I am sure I took a picture of it before I put the card in the post, but can't find it on either my phone or my tablet . <br />
So why am I blathering on here, all part of an amazing crafty desk share hosted by the wonderful <a href="https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Julia. </a>She has been hosting it for eleven years and more, so well worth a visit.<br />
That's all for me today, bless you for visiting<br />

For those who don't know what WOYWW is, nip over to <a href="https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Julia's </a>where all will be revealed.<br />
So WOYWW is about our desks, and frankly I have spent so little time in the tower in the last couple of weeks, I could post you a desk view from my last post, so instead a finished UFO<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_WEEIfRFY6g/XtdGjf_s32I/AAAAAAAAQlI/8TniPNZAuPMtPimeF53fUvL-7U0NOSeBgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200601_125010.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_WEEIfRFY6g/XtdGjf_s32I/AAAAAAAAQlI/8TniPNZAuPMtPimeF53fUvL-7U0NOSeBgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200601_125010.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
And this was the card I made for one of my two lovely son's in law<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2MpS-MnjYnU/XtdHB-BtoJI/AAAAAAAAQlQ/kzJ2Re-8Pc4iTNyD9GDQXLsxIbCBPkOWwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200513_191722.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2MpS-MnjYnU/XtdHB-BtoJI/AAAAAAAAQlQ/kzJ2Re-8Pc4iTNyD9GDQXLsxIbCBPkOWwCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200513_191722.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Idea lifted unashamedly from Pinterest, which sadly does not seem to be offer suitable inspiration for this week's urgent task, which is to produce a birthday card for a 10 year old great nephew. Boys are alien creature, I was one of four girls, had two of my own, and just don't understand boys, especially boys who don't seem to have any passionate interest in anything.<br />
So that's all from me this week, thank you for dropping in,<br />
Bless you<br />
ChrisMrs.Dhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08853306570867209858noreply@blogger.com19tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1154152104512643249.post-31067910670968566862020-05-20T06:23:00.000+01:002020-05-20T06:24:01.930+01:00 WOYWW 572 Anniversary <div style="text-align: left;">
So the 11th anniversary has arrived, but sadly we are no nearer to each other to celebrate than we are any other day of the year, however our host <a href="https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Julia </a> still needs to be applauded. Well done for leading us thus far and here's to you, and maybe a crop in the autumn.</div>
So instead of a crop and ATCs we were challenging to finish some UFOs, and last week I shared some cards that I had dragged out of the UFO box.<br />
Some achieved the status of finished cards.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-htT9TwlzGgU/XsOLFCQ_z6I/AAAAAAAAQZ8/9icRJpKB9m0-hASwL58zm8ySLAu7dUECgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200519_082156.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-htT9TwlzGgU/XsOLFCQ_z6I/AAAAAAAAQZ8/9icRJpKB9m0-hASwL58zm8ySLAu7dUECgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200519_082156.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-up79qo7hdKg/XsOLkDw42tI/AAAAAAAAQaU/VyHaTqa2iFgwcyIZDHEZE9a-_kGTvhvOgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200519_082902.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-up79qo7hdKg/XsOLkDw42tI/AAAAAAAAQaU/VyHaTqa2iFgwcyIZDHEZE9a-_kGTvhvOgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200519_082902.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So the first three were fairly simple to finish,<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XWJHbsIYbe8/XsOLMA3eGJI/AAAAAAAAQaA/giqppZNObsMI2b4OX8vgJ0nkjSudmFQRwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200519_082415.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XWJHbsIYbe8/XsOLMA3eGJI/AAAAAAAAQaA/giqppZNObsMI2b4OX8vgJ0nkjSudmFQRwCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200519_082415.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Except, I'm still not certain about the colours on this, although it does look much better in daylight than digital medium. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6xGLeNFEVT0/XsOLwveOkaI/AAAAAAAAQaY/vwGIEiNJp1g_wEaJn0fMctRr0Oig0jpKgCPcBGAYYCw/s1600/20200519_082327.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6xGLeNFEVT0/XsOLwveOkaI/AAAAAAAAQaY/vwGIEiNJp1g_wEaJn0fMctRr0Oig0jpKgCPcBGAYYCw/s320/20200519_082327.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This one was fairly simple to do something with, although I really wanted </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
"Thinking of you" to be the sentiment, it looks rather small and insignificant on there so I also made the "Thank you" sentiment, and will decide when/if I need to use the card. (Neither is attached) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Of the other three, </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZppjKAuQvdc/XsOOKTBghSI/AAAAAAAAQa0/PLDMrAW6of08S7cbORi6WXIZOkNlKrHXACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200512_175024.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZppjKAuQvdc/XsOOKTBghSI/AAAAAAAAQa0/PLDMrAW6of08S7cbORi6WXIZOkNlKrHXACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/20200512_175024.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
This one went in the bin. When I started trying to do something with it I found that the strip was not on straight and my attempt at removal destroyed it all.<br />
Will probably try a similar starting layout at some time.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qeWTp_g_gNA/XsOPjIi5ExI/AAAAAAAAQbM/58TerGw0YBwGnVQJChKN6l6njL0z705PACPcBGAYYCw/s1600/20200519_082031.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qeWTp_g_gNA/XsOPjIi5ExI/AAAAAAAAQbM/58TerGw0YBwGnVQJChKN6l6njL0z705PACPcBGAYYCw/s320/20200519_082031.jpg" width="320" /></a>This one has gone back in the box until I need another Golden wedding anniversary card</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TQn68E1rr2Q/XsREeUjRB6I/AAAAAAAAQd4/Ijvau6mCdcYuJk4COfWxrXY0XxLxz3PsgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200512_174927.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TQn68E1rr2Q/XsREeUjRB6I/AAAAAAAAQd4/Ijvau6mCdcYuJk4COfWxrXY0XxLxz3PsgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/20200512_174927.jpg" width="240" /></a>And this one I am still experimenting with, here on my desk.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2USADJKYvqU/XsQv5_s7E0I/AAAAAAAAQdY/NMhTFGdtFo0cvS2-ctRo369YJG4z_XJVwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200519_191219.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2USADJKYvqU/XsQv5_s7E0I/AAAAAAAAQdY/NMhTFGdtFo0cvS2-ctRo369YJG4z_XJVwCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200519_191219.jpg" width="400" /></a> You can see the other finished cards here too.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-86IfmBDEphs/XsRE2Y-zhMI/AAAAAAAAQeA/mthGvhROIsAc-tzHHBVrS-GEQzQX1vkHwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200514_211038.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-86IfmBDEphs/XsRE2Y-zhMI/AAAAAAAAQeA/mthGvhROIsAc-tzHHBVrS-GEQzQX1vkHwCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20200514_211038.jpg" width="300" /></a>And a completely different UFO I finally finished. This chair sat in my Dad's study for many years, and when he died nearly 19 years ago, I took possession of it. Sadly the cushion cover disintegrated about 6 weeks ago, and I started working on it and finding it was fiddly undoing the fringe from the remaining rags, it got chucked on a pile and left, but Margaret encouraged me to finish it, so I now have a comfy chair at my computer again.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nc25txOcrQA/XsRFaFLadRI/AAAAAAAAQeU/lZMuFTlvjlMb9SQO8hE5B3gOPijECTw9ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200519_093648.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nc25txOcrQA/XsRFaFLadRI/AAAAAAAAQeU/lZMuFTlvjlMb9SQO8hE5B3gOPijECTw9ACLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20200519_093648.jpg" width="480" /></a>This sadly was a UFO that did not get finished, but it will do. This jigsaw is four pictures taken from my Facebook page by my daughter to make puzzle, 1 picture of our first boat, 2 of the second one and a snowy picture under a canal bridge.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tWSsF3BRDfM/XsRE7cpRRYI/AAAAAAAAQeM/LRuAZBQknJckxhjRYwS1hxSp03sl8Fs7gCPcBGAYYCw/s1600/20200517_182725.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tWSsF3BRDfM/XsRE7cpRRYI/AAAAAAAAQeM/LRuAZBQknJckxhjRYwS1hxSp03sl8Fs7gCPcBGAYYCw/s400/20200517_182725.jpg" width="400" /></a>While I have been working this week, some of the time I was in the tower, this young man was keeping me company,sometimes sitting on my chair, and sometimes, if I get to the chair first, he sits on the windowsill absorbing the sun, I took this picture on Monday afternoon, went downstairs to my sewing machine and was suddenly very surprised to hear a 'Bonk, bonk, bonk' on the stairs behind me, and can only assumed he rolled over and fell off the windowsill and bounced down the stairs. Fortunately no broken bones, but he was a bit subdued for a few hours. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And finally a picture of the canal in the evening and some amazing anemones from my garden, they just keep on flowering and looking beautiful.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hmon1ziktoA/XsOSrGgWwLI/AAAAAAAAQcE/Fo4INI2sBo441WYUdihKBiCBwB0QC8f4ACPcBGAYYCw/s1600/20200514_105812.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hmon1ziktoA/XsOSrGgWwLI/AAAAAAAAQcE/Fo4INI2sBo441WYUdihKBiCBwB0QC8f4ACPcBGAYYCw/s400/20200514_105812.jpg" width="300" /></a><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Y_RhggJtc58/XsOSnSkWOtI/AAAAAAAAQcA/DfIrNx7xVo4DyNrU1n65OShcgwZSEDzBQCPcBGAYYCw/s1600/20200514_105719.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Y_RhggJtc58/XsOSnSkWOtI/AAAAAAAAQcA/DfIrNx7xVo4DyNrU1n65OShcgwZSEDzBQCPcBGAYYCw/s320/20200514_105719.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well, this has been a very picture heavy post, so I better close before Julia decides to ban me in future. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Happy WOYWW anniversary </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Chris</div>
Mrs.Dhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08853306570867209858noreply@blogger.com32tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1154152104512643249.post-10429345496323833902020-05-13T08:00:00.000+01:002020-05-13T08:00:01.000+01:00WOYWW 571<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So we aren't having an ATC swap for 11th anniversary of WOYWW. (if you don't know what WOYWW is, visit Madame Julia at her <a href="https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Stamping Ground </a>, where you can find links lots more desks to peruse.) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We are finishing UFOs! That's Unfinished objects for the uninitiated, or as a friend used to call them, unfinished symphonies, which is a term I prefer</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Well I have plenty of those in this box. Including 20<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bh4YEm6FKig/XrsATplsgpI/AAAAAAAAQS0/aSEpUik0qzQ7xXipgrjUndMboH5ECAX7wCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20200503_131203.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bh4YEm6FKig/XrsATplsgpI/AAAAAAAAQS0/aSEpUik0qzQ7xXipgrjUndMboH5ECAX7wCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/20200503_131203.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
part done ATCs, because with lockdown I thought I would be all efficient and get them done early, instead of rushing them at the last minute! Maybe they will do for next year!<br />
My usual reason for not finishing cards is because I get so far and then run out of ideas, so between now and next week, I have to find those elusive ideas and finish<br />
them, I hope.<br />
So I dug in the box and selected seven I think I might manage to conjure up inspiration to complete, for next week.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SSck9ho9_7o/XrsKethLg2I/AAAAAAAAQTE/wVaVPacHiiMcSqw1E9nW9OE_hpaKJb0KQCEwYBhgLKs0DAL1OcqyXMxTmnpueZbJN0MTV7SSAO0SvYKkFh9Ie2lSvY2eO28my8ZP_J5VkigEsixlwoQXPd1DuiUZ8NBradRf6Aoixe5nAp8qiQx2XE5802O5z2SQhs-EQJmy9A-YPvFk3vF3a_81NPf7CGMfS5o-Ic5PnYSjWzsYMqSPSwY8jpt7pGTw3S1CptHdrssUXcqBYlouZm7VDzn5C2LELHi1gKJ0hq_0VF9sKMffcWFJEbZX9NHH9PX9RwTkjIsbQ4-ObHdddjWrtQrk37WFpoNJlF0SFvExC14GHwBYZWYeNMV9YR8hSlEH2cBWwZV4L_mK5aBcS4BZNgHj8-AVH-_yDs3G6h3YPIprlIqRLdUR07CFHt3aShOTHiXuTEX2XjMoH5QFQn-62VQCURzYJOrooc7N14fakqY5l6NUFZno2BsZs5e9216ant2gndretYuu8Y4sOVzj4X7mPCApjYGkkiNKggOwK3c2KpGz6Tvpv4TR0Akc7A_fLGzgbAm1jPPy8MLD62kxHdh92lk-UDaQxTXXcuhxXiktAoIYRLHpEUWG-SPsZMydQu8FeACsX1kcJTLySS27yL2FTT15X4pR2A4Cbc2sGhDTQviAwrZrs9QU/s1600/20200512_174801.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SSck9ho9_7o/XrsKethLg2I/AAAAAAAAQTE/wVaVPacHiiMcSqw1E9nW9OE_hpaKJb0KQCEwYBhgLKs0DAL1OcqyXMxTmnpueZbJN0MTV7SSAO0SvYKkFh9Ie2lSvY2eO28my8ZP_J5VkigEsixlwoQXPd1DuiUZ8NBradRf6Aoixe5nAp8qiQx2XE5802O5z2SQhs-EQJmy9A-YPvFk3vF3a_81NPf7CGMfS5o-Ic5PnYSjWzsYMqSPSwY8jpt7pGTw3S1CptHdrssUXcqBYlouZm7VDzn5C2LELHi1gKJ0hq_0VF9sKMffcWFJEbZX9NHH9PX9RwTkjIsbQ4-ObHdddjWrtQrk37WFpoNJlF0SFvExC14GHwBYZWYeNMV9YR8hSlEH2cBWwZV4L_mK5aBcS4BZNgHj8-AVH-_yDs3G6h3YPIprlIqRLdUR07CFHt3aShOTHiXuTEX2XjMoH5QFQn-62VQCURzYJOrooc7N14fakqY5l6NUFZno2BsZs5e9216ant2gndretYuu8Y4sOVzj4X7mPCApjYGkkiNKggOwK3c2KpGz6Tvpv4TR0Akc7A_fLGzgbAm1jPPy8MLD62kxHdh92lk-UDaQxTXXcuhxXiktAoIYRLHpEUWG-SPsZMydQu8FeACsX1kcJTLySS27yL2FTT15X4pR2A4Cbc2sGhDTQviAwrZrs9QU/s400/20200512_174801.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>

<a name='more'></a> Good morning peeps and welcome to my desk, coming to you courtesy of our wonderful WOYWW host
Madame <a href="https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Julia..</a><br />
On my desk at teatime yesterday was an 80th birthday card just finished, and going in the post today.
<span id="goog_732073780"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RkMDRbUGAS0/Xp9BsQRWj3I/AAAAAAAAQEc/ZtEpSjlNxAAxJEXjys7gLlS9cEjgir1gwCPcBGAsYHg/s1600/20200421_171756.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RkMDRbUGAS0/Xp9BsQRWj3I/AAAAAAAAQEc/ZtEpSjlNxAAxJEXjys7gLlS9cEjgir1gwCPcBGAsYHg/s400/20200421_171756.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<span id="goog_732073779"></span><br />
You can also see, on the mat, 2 of my multiple pairs of scissors, many more can be seen in the pots at the back, and my trusty mug, which was empty at this point. Otherwise, there is nothing further of note except the usual detritus of a craft work space.
<br />
Behind, through the window, you can see a field of spring wheat greening up nicely, in spite of the lack of rain, apparently it only needs the dampness of the dew to grow.
<br />
Nothing else really to report, house arrest has continued with more gardening, we have been planting more fruit trees, but bare root trees are not really photogenic at present.
<br />
However, we celebrated 51 years of marriage early in the month, and I intended to show you the card I made for Adrian earlier, but forgot, so here it is.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

And this was the inside, bit cheeky, but after 51 years I decided it was time he heard the "truth"! He seemed to appreciate it.<br />

How is everyone coping with 'house arrest'?<br />
This was my desk yesterday afternoon! I finished all the Easter cards and thought I would completely clear everything before sorting drawers and tackling a Space/Star wars themed 50th birthday card, anyone gone any ideas?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tBIk7oXJ3-A/Xo1v-IpnsLI/AAAAAAAAP6A/TYqT0_0kx0w21xylgkCN3L2vhVpOM-T4wCKgBGAsYHg/s1600/20200406_125931.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tBIk7oXJ3-A/Xo1v-IpnsLI/AAAAAAAAP6A/TYqT0_0kx0w21xylgkCN3L2vhVpOM-T4wCKgBGAsYHg/s640/20200406_125931.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And these are all the Easter cards I made, I don't usually send them, but somehow I felt it was appropriate this year.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vDgZudeJ-SE/Xo1wILFvo_I/AAAAAAAAP6E/4XWFZoFTP54ALHskEkskPCAzmlWdboGywCKgBGAsYHg/s1600/20200407_070909.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vDgZudeJ-SE/Xo1wILFvo_I/AAAAAAAAP6E/4XWFZoFTP54ALHskEkskPCAzmlWdboGywCKgBGAsYHg/s640/20200407_070909.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
When not making cards, mending, gardening etc, I have found time for permitted exercise, dodging the crowds! this is probably 400 yards from home, across the ploughed field to the left.<br />

</div>
<br />
Well with weeks of enforced inactivity ahead, I have plans to tidy the tower, make lots of Easter cards, possibly some Christmas cards, and hubby decides we are going to work on the garden. <br />
However with some Birthdays coming up, I struggled, in between helping lay turf, with a card for my nephew, age 44 (aren't men difficult) and by the end of the day there were three cards on my desk.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YI5sx_dKWXs/XnsAqjE_FAI/AAAAAAAAPpA/ZVGNxLP7HUMWyJBxSGcBdj496-0N20HkQCKgBGAsYHg/s1600/20200324_181114.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YI5sx_dKWXs/XnsAqjE_FAI/AAAAAAAAPpA/ZVGNxLP7HUMWyJBxSGcBdj496-0N20HkQCKgBGAsYHg/s640/20200324_181114.jpg" width="640" /> </a></div>
The part finished Easter card in the middle will get finished later
this week, but the card for Al, front right, must be in the post
tomorrow at the latest, but it needs something else, and I don't know
what. And the card back right is destined for the bin, I think!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So as I struggling with this on my phone, tablet having a strip, I will finish with accouple of pictures from the windows of the tower. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5-fHCy9vLU8/XjnsMGih91I/AAAAAAAAPOU/2PN1M663wm8T7PENMadG7FOXdu95fVyLwCKgBGAsYHg/s1600/20200204_110107.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5-fHCy9vLU8/XjnsMGih91I/AAAAAAAAPOU/2PN1M663wm8T7PENMadG7FOXdu95fVyLwCKgBGAsYHg/s640/20200204_110107.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
But here goes, not very exciting 3 unfinished cards and the various detritus of making cards.The card in the centre front is another "Thinking of you" cards that I prefer to send rather than "Sympathy" cards, and I seem to need these more and more, so I am trying to build up a stock, and the unfinished one behind has the message is "You are in our thoughts and prayers" so also suitable as a sympathy card when finished. And the sunflower on the left back, I am hoping for inspiration about what to do with it next.<br />
So that's me, and if you wonder why I am sharing this, pop over to <a href="http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Desk queen Julia's Stamping ground </a>to see some more crafty desks,<br />
Thank you visiting and I wil try to return the visit if you give me sufficient information.<br />
Bless you<br />

I was determined to post this week, so I'm sorry that this pic is from Monday, but what you can see is my haul from a craft show I went to on Sunday. Margaret came over for the weekend and we went to Sincerely Yours show at Newark show ground.<br />

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ibQ6vxecbSo/Xa9pjbFbX_I/AAAAAAAAOW4/MS6nsHTLYf03dWEE1-pMSkLByreHn0X4gCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20191021_095802.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ibQ6vxecbSo/Xa9pjbFbX_I/AAAAAAAAOW4/MS6nsHTLYf03dWEE1-pMSkLByreHn0X4gCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20191021_095802.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
I mainly bought card, but also a lovely couple of stamps, some gilding wax, blending tools and tapes. It was good to be able to see stuff before buying it, I don't like buying online, but it is either that or the limited choice available in The Range or the high prices of Hobby craft. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QcLSHM5F1f8/Xa9pYmE1aDI/AAAAAAAAOW8/WXgFaat1_ZEWrbj36IF9nNWcmB8gJ4zegCEwYBhgL/s1600/20191021_100727.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QcLSHM5F1f8/Xa9pYmE1aDI/AAAAAAAAOW8/WXgFaat1_ZEWrbj36IF9nNWcmB8gJ4zegCEwYBhgL/s640/20191021_100727.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
This is a later one, I was trying to show you some of the cards I have made, but Flottie was determined to get in on the action . Not a very good picture of him, but at least you get to see a card and a cat.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2EwPiph9pO8/Xa9w6237pGI/AAAAAAAAOXE/xNDk97dvtMI-MYoaLjmdz-NvtQiSy-l-ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20191021_210727.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2EwPiph9pO8/Xa9w6237pGI/AAAAAAAAOXE/xNDk97dvtMI-MYoaLjmdz-NvtQiSy-l-ACLcBGAsYHQ/s400/20191021_210727.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

And a couple of collages of the Christmas cards I have been making.<br />
If you are reading this and have no idea why I am sharing, got to our wonderful host, the lovely Julia at her <a href="http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Stamping Ground</a><br />
where all will be revealed.<br />
Thank you for visiting my desk, I will try to respond to any comments you make.<br />
Bless you<br />

So often I reached Tuesday evening and don't have a picture, and as I have said before, the down side of having a separate studio is that it is not so easy to nip to my desk to take a pic at midnight,although however today I remember so I'll wade straight in with the desk.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3zTWzlOZub0/XYFV1-oW-HI/AAAAAAAAOPs/fXTgDx3ppyIAj_OENPRnjXxXCipYFU76wCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/20190917_161421.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3zTWzlOZub0/XYFV1-oW-HI/AAAAAAAAOPs/fXTgDx3ppyIAj_OENPRnjXxXCipYFU76wCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20190917_161421.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Tuesday afternoon, with 8 Christmas cards done yesterday and the blue box containing 80 more cards, all carefully posed so it looks good. Also at the back, a new holly die to make some more, and a plastic breaker with lemon squash in it.<br />
Not awfully exciting, if you want better stuff, visit our wonderful desk hostess, <a href="http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Julia</a> at her stamping ground.<br />
Thanks dropping in, and for any kind comment you chose to make, I will try to get back to you before next week's desk hop.<br />
Bless you all<br />
ChrisMrs.Dhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08853306570867209858noreply@blogger.com15tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1154152104512643249.post-64638210899386328412019-08-07T06:59:00.000+01:002019-08-07T07:00:27.169+01:00WOYWW 530<br />
Well, I am going to try and communicate with you all this week, but have a technical problem in that I don't have a picture of my worktop . One of the disadvantages of having a dedicated studio, separate from the house, is that taking a picture of the worktop, late at night, on Tuesday, which what I am sure most Deskers do, is that I can't just nip out, and take a picture , at least not dressed as I currently am, with the A57 only 20 ft away.<br />
So at least Julia will be happy, this will be very photo light. Instead, as we went to my sister and brother in law, last Friday, for their Golden wedding anniversary party, I will show you the card I made for them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WDrN01OFnlk/XUn5KIfS2JI/AAAAAAAAN64/K5S90f3BcowqPkTdMpdOU0rBm1xSgGF-gCLcBGAs/s1600/20190722_123041.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WDrN01OFnlk/XUn5KIfS2JI/AAAAAAAAN64/K5S90f3BcowqPkTdMpdOU0rBm1xSgGF-gCLcBGAs/s640/20190722_123041.jpg" width="640" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We had an amazing weekend from Friday to Sunday, they have a huge garden, and the put out tables and chairs and marquees and we had too much food and too much drink, and a really good time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Just one picture to give you a flavour of the event.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nG95yNcTnbY/XUn67ROzIII/AAAAAAAAN7I/ihsRt4xm7hUh9wY966NufqlhDoLvxZtSQCLcBGAs/s1600/20190802_165112.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nG95yNcTnbY/XUn67ROzIII/AAAAAAAAN7I/ihsRt4xm7hUh9wY966NufqlhDoLvxZtSQCLcBGAs/s640/20190802_165112.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My sister and brother in law under the tree, my niece in red, three great nieces on the carpet, great nephew reading, and my hubby sitting on the left. This was in just one corner of the garden, out of the sun, for the "ceremony", which is another name for Lottie embarrassing her parents.<br />
Well that's all from me, if you want to know why I am sharing, visit the WOYWW queen at <a href="http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Her stamping ground</a><br />
Thanks for reading my drivel<br />
ChrisMrs.Dhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08853306570867209858noreply@blogger.com19tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1154152104512643249.post-72378255691005425002019-06-05T05:05:00.000+01:002019-06-05T05:05:48.382+01:00WOYWW 522Well what a fab day we had at the crop in Shrewsbury last Saturday. 21 woywwers and 8 hubbies did a lot of crafty stuff at Radbrook community centre. Actually, I lie, there was a lot of talking, lot of eating of cake, a lot of craft material swapped, lots of ATCs exchanged and a little bit of crafting.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V3NQLN9g3Ws/XPbb8hFljWI/AAAAAAAANYI/hEBVBczNc0Aaz7GvL3zXQYoEHwSSvqqfACKgBGAs/s1600/20190601_144625.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V3NQLN9g3Ws/XPbb8hFljWI/AAAAAAAANYI/hEBVBczNc0Aaz7GvL3zXQYoEHwSSvqqfACKgBGAs/s400/20190601_144625.jpg" width="300" /></a>So why were we there, well it is all down to this lovely lady in pink with her 'crown', the Queen of Snoop, Julia, who started it all 10 years ago. You can visit her blog at <a href="http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">her stamping ground. </a>There you will be able to snoop at lots more crafty desks.<br />
The lady in blue is Annie, one of the two lovely deskers who organised Saturday's wonderful extravaganza, thank you Annie and Jo.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SWgPLrt7zrY/XPbdYrZxzAI/AAAAAAAANYk/7bdn9T4OH1kkocrCv1FmTJJi9F9B7yzKwCLcBGAs/s1600/20190603_151313.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SWgPLrt7zrY/XPbdYrZxzAI/AAAAAAAANYk/7bdn9T4OH1kkocrCv1FmTJJi9F9B7yzKwCLcBGAs/s400/20190603_151313.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
So I came home with lots of ATCs, and various other swappable beauties.<br />
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MCiyPzzTvU0/XPbfPdFJ8hI/AAAAAAAANZY/6MDP4THuIDIqqg-4_mCNRKm87mFIb8KGgCLcBGAs/s1600/20190603_151513.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MCiyPzzTvU0/XPbfPdFJ8hI/AAAAAAAANZY/6MDP4THuIDIqqg-4_mCNRKm87mFIb8KGgCLcBGAs/s400/20190603_151513.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
William Morris famously said 'have nothing in your home that you do not believe to be beautiful or useful', he forgot the yummy, and some of the swapped goodies were indeed edible, and yes, mine are still untouched in the Crafty tower with the ATCs.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-s3IS0a1-FSk/XPbd1DN1MvI/AAAAAAAANY8/ZISZiY6pCsgZObCKYiG6U4Ghr6P-z_-vQCLcBGAs/s1600/20190603_152126.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-s3IS0a1-FSk/XPbd1DN1MvI/AAAAAAAANY8/ZISZiY6pCsgZObCKYiG6U4Ghr6P-z_-vQCLcBGAs/s400/20190603_152126.jpg" width="400" /></a>Some people also took along craft materials, from their stash, that they felt were surplus to their requirements, so I had to be kind and relieve them of some of their excess!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pgqGOisGhh4/XPbd1dvXDgI/AAAAAAAANZA/mbwnfwiVagkzkPupeX5zlBNU2rdxj3M1ACLcBGAs/s1600/20190603_152159.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pgqGOisGhh4/XPbd1dvXDgI/AAAAAAAANZA/mbwnfwiVagkzkPupeX5zlBNU2rdxj3M1ACLcBGAs/s400/20190603_152159.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
And just to prove that some of the haul was indeed useful, I nearly missed showing you this nice book mark which started work the same day I received it, which is why it was not in the picture of the other treasures. Thank you Caro, <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
So, I hear you say, this is all about What's on your workdesk Wednesday, and I haven't shown you my desk. Well, you see, the disadvantage with having a detached 'studio' is that one has to access it, and Mr D has built new concrete steps right by the gate to the lawn, the other side of which is the crafty tower, so I can't get there until it has all dried, or the rain stops enough for me to go round the long and slippy way, and you have enough pictures to look at already methinks.<br />
Thank you for wading through my drivel, and for any comments you make, I will endeavor to get back to you before next Wednesday<br />
Bless you<br />
Chris <br />

WOYWW 520</h2>
Morning, or afternoon all, nearly missed out on the celebration day for 10 years<br />
First of all a picture of the desk.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fxs2u_OhOAg/XOU-Y1ZCVRI/AAAAAAAANN8/w82wrAyQwmYHzWf3lUMfv8ItgwKwIYb8gCLcBGAs/s1600/20190515_154050_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fxs2u_OhOAg/XOU-Y1ZCVRI/AAAAAAAANN8/w82wrAyQwmYHzWf3lUMfv8ItgwKwIYb8gCLcBGAs/s640/20190515_154050_1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
What you see there is some preparatory work for the crop at the front, and further back some one who was enjoying the warmth and the company. This picture was actually taken a week ago, since when I have been in hospital having a complete shoulder replacement, to try to repair the damage I did when I fell in August 2017. Recovery has not been uneventful , still have left arm immobilized, quite a lot of pain, on and off, and the pain relief is causing it's own problems.<br />
I am still hoping to get to the crop, but probably won't make the decision whether to travel to Margaret's until Friday morning.<br />
Thanks for visiting my desk, I wil attempt to acknowledge any comments , but don't think I will manage anything deeply intellectual,<br />
Bless you<br />

Moved from bedroom 3 in the house to ....... The Studio!!!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OxZTk1xhlMY/XLYnRucUD0I/AAAAAAAAM_k/LktkJDawe-0MZ6WhHNJR1u3H37KOvQ4zQCLcBGAs/s1600/20190406_171403.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OxZTk1xhlMY/XLYnRucUD0I/AAAAAAAAM_k/LktkJDawe-0MZ6WhHNJR1u3H37KOvQ4zQCLcBGAs/s400/20190406_171403.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
One floor for sewing<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SMQfH6fjWcM/XLYpLvXT3oI/AAAAAAAANAE/SCMBFp1htrgzV-eQ7Mv3FjGNXyMS9nfUACKgBGAs/s1600/FB_IMG_1555441754973.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="960" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SMQfH6fjWcM/XLYpLvXT3oI/AAAAAAAANAE/SCMBFp1htrgzV-eQ7Mv3FjGNXyMS9nfUACKgBGAs/s640/FB_IMG_1555441754973.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
And one floor for papercraft.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xoX1THfRZAE/XLYpuwTz8XI/AAAAAAAANAQ/AiXtF1ONHmkCMi2H5qPbBm3Og3_sCTZGgCKgBGAs/s1600/FB_IMG_1555441836950.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="960" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xoX1THfRZAE/XLYpuwTz8XI/AAAAAAAANAQ/AiXtF1ONHmkCMi2H5qPbBm3Og3_sCTZGgCKgBGAs/s640/FB_IMG_1555441836950.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
And as this is about what is on our desk, I'd better tell you a bit about the stuff on my desk. On the right is my trusty Gemini, at the back on the window sill are all the many scissors, glues, pens, brushes, rulers and general clutter without which I couldn't possibly manage to make even one card. And on the glass mat are three cards which haven't come out at all well.<br />
As you can see, although I have a studio, I have far less space than I had on the landling at the previous house so I have had to work hard at being organised and tidy, not something that comes naturally to me.<br />
So, having bared my soul as far as my desk is concerned, if you have found my post by chance, I'd better direct you to desk queen Julia at her <a href="http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Stamping ground, </a>where you will see links to lots more interesting crafty desks.<br />
Well, that's all for me now, thanks for reading and for any comments<br />

For a family whose 21 year old died Tuesday morning, 21 but still mentally 4 or 5, with a syndrome which gave him a fragile heart and kidneys. After 7 days on machines to keep him alive, with so many people around the world praying for him, his heart simply gave up. RIP James.<br />

The other two cards are just to put in the box for when I need them.<br />
So short post, thanks for dropping by and bless you<br />

To post something every Wednesday, ha ha. On January 1st, I thought I would clear the chaos that is usually my desk, put all the Christmas stuff away tidily so I could get on with cards for the new year. So somehow I just thought instead of putting away the scraps, as they were, I would cut them up for tags. A day and a half later, I had this pile of tags, 51 in total, but it was far too late to post.<br />

So last Tuesday I had an MRI, doctor's appointment and then an x-ray and building work, and another Wednesday missed. So I have started this post on Monday, and it remains to be seen if I manage to get it finished and posted this Wednesday. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well very belatedly I am going to post this, it is only 19.45.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Will try to respond to any comments I get when I am so far down the list</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
bless you all</div>

Well Wednesday has taken me by surprise again!<br />
I took a picture on Monday evening, thinking it was Tuesday, realised it wasn't and forgot all about WOYWW.<br />
Suddenly it is Wednesday morning and I haven't blogged.<br />
Margaret came and stayed for a week and spent hours helping me sort dies and stamps and I thought I could show you a tidy organised work room with a productive desk, but the tidied, sorted stuff is out of sight and the desk is still a muddle.<br />
As you can see I have been making Christmas cards, and at the front, a card for a friend whose Mum died earlier in the week. <br />
For more interesting and desks, visit the Queen of Deskers at<a href="http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/2018/11/whats-on-your-workdesk-wednesday-492.html?m=1" target="_blank">The Stamping Ground. </a><br />
Bless you for visiting my desk and any nice comments you leave.<br />
Chris. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ohV6rcE2eaY/W5gmAVWnqVI/AAAAAAAALQc/SQbgIJVoGCw2qI5BxF4PTSEjKZLgiHlCACEwYBhgL/s1600/20180908_154915.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ohV6rcE2eaY/W5gmAVWnqVI/AAAAAAAALQc/SQbgIJVoGCw2qI5BxF4PTSEjKZLgiHlCACEwYBhgL/s640/20180908_154915.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Ladies taking pictures of the gentlemen who attended with their wives, from the left, Shaz, Neet, Jan, Christine, Margaret, Chris, Elizabeth and Sarah.<br />
And I'm sorry I can't seem to get any other pics to upload. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
And then Margaret and Shaz travelled all across England and we had a meet with Angela, from "Felix the crafty cat"<br />
I'm sure the others who were there will have uploaded lots of pics, go to <a href="http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/?m=1" target="_blank">Julia's </a><br />
and have a snoop.<br />
Thanks for visiting, I will try to get back to you, but it won't be until the weekend as we have visitors arriving shortly, and I am no where near ready for them.<br />
