Well I missed WOYWW this week because we spent Sunday to Tuesday in the New Forest in the  motorhome, visiting an elderly uncle. Didn't get home until late Wed evening. While we were away I finished the stitching on the card that was on my desk last week. this is the detail, if I can get it to upload.

I then made a card out of it.
Will now write card and deliver it at my craft club.

WOYWW

This is my first post to WOYWW and I've discovered how difficult itis to get a good picture of my worktop. I have a long window behind it, lots of natural light for working by, but not good for taking pictures. However I have a couple of pics that should give you some idea of what it looks like.
That thing sticking up is where I am halfway through pricking out a stitched card for a friend from craft club who always does beautiful ones for my birthday, so I thought I would give it a try for her's next week.

This just gives a clearer picture. Will take and post piccie of finished card before I give it to her.

This is the view from the bedroom window today, no snow, just rather overcast and grey. Nothing like as pretty as the snowy one.

Having viewed the preview pics, the one of my worktop is better than I thought it was.

Got a bit of card making done today.

Well after a painless visit to the dentist, today has been rather more profitable craftwise.

Made a twisted easel card from my stamping the other day.
Gosh are twisted easel card difficult to photograph and then cropping them so that all you see is the card is nearly impossible. The purple backing card is upcycled card that was the packaging for some vellum from Create and craft. As soon as I opened the package I thought 'that will be good for mounting some cards'. Have also used some in the card for my daughter, not quite finished, along with some other upcycled bits.

Then I finished an anniversary card for my sister. Been playing with it for a while and was not sure what to do with it, but must post it this evening or early tomorrow so it had to be done. Thought I had cropped this in Picasa but it still seems determined to display with view out of the window behind it.

So here is that view, not today as it is now misty and nearly dark and certainly no snow. This was three years ago but you can get an idea of what we are forced to look at every morning when we open the curtains. Well someone has to!

Well no crafting for me today, after church we finished the kitchen, all but putting my recipe books back on the shelves. I've been told I can only have two shelves for cookery books, that means getting rid of half a shelf of books, very painful exercise but I am wading through the 36 or more magazines that were on the shelf so will be able to get rid of those and put any recipes I really want on the computer.
Must say the kitchen does look much better now, although the pictures don't really do it justice.

Kitchen before spring clean

After spring clean

Whilst looking for the pictures of the kitchen I found this picture of a card I made a few weeks ago and was so pleased with it that I thought I would share it.

Card with vellum flowers

Good morning. Been moving freezer and cleaning behind it and then my man is going to paint the walls. How did my kitchen get so dirty?
Eventually managed to find how to change the time zone so that the date is now correct for my posts. Blogger doesn't make it simple to do things when setting up a blog.
This was the stamping I did yesterday that wouldn't load, but managed to get it on today. Scanner doesn't do the colours justice, when I have made a card with it I will use the camera to get an image. Stamped the middle through apperture with a garden stamp collection then used sponge and distress ink to do the rest.
Not sure what I am doing with this blog, but here goes.Had a fun afternoon with a friend trying brayering with limited success.
We went on and did some stamping instead with much better results, only I have also failed to get the stamped image to load.
Will try again tomorrow.
