WOYWW 229

Hello All and welcome to my blog. If anyone has just arrived and is wondering what WOYWW is all about, pop over to Julia's and you can see what is on the worktops of over 100 crafters.
It is supposed to our worktop on Wednesday but as most of us write our posts on Tuesday, our pics will be taken on Tuesday. And Tuesday here in North Wales has been grey and dark and I have had to take 20 pics before I got anything useful of my worktop.
So my worktop is full of Christmas cards, I try to make at least 100, some of which will be as simple as the stamped one on the mat, and some will be more elaborate like those on the window sill. What I aim to do with all my cards is to ensure that they reflect my faith and are not just robins and reindeer and snow.

The other thing I have been doing is the hats for the Big Knit and I have done another 13 plus the two green and purple ones that my daughter did.

This clearly is not my worktop but the bedroom window sill so that you can see the autumn colours outside.

And I have taken a bigger pic showing the whole vista from the window. Isn't creation wonderful!
(Which is more than can be said for Blogger which won't let me do what I want with these pics.)

And as I walked into the bedroom with the camera I just envied the complete relaxation demonstrated by a lazy Max so i thought I would share it with you.

Hope you all have a great day and enjoyed having a peek into my creative life.
Chris

  2. Don't you have the most wonderful view from your bedroom?? It's absolutely glorious!! All the trees are turning so quickly now after having been green for ages.
I adore your cards, especially the metallic silver tree with the bling...that's the one I'd buy in a shop!! The snowflake is snazzy too and I love the text Christmas tree, really lovely!

    1. Thank Jan,
      Thanks for visitng.
We do have a beautiful view from the window, we have two bedrooms with views over that valley.
That metallic silver tree card is not finished yet, have a mental block about what to do with it next.
Must try and get it done for next week.

  3. Wow, you put me to shame with your Christmas cards, I really do need to make a start. Love your Big Knit hats, the advert always makes me laugh but it's a great cause.
Cats are so funny when they sleep like this aren't they. We have one that does just the same.

  5. I love your gorgeous religious cards. I often try and do the same, but this year knew that I wouldn't have time, hence cheating with the simple tree design. Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW. Caro x (#74)

  7. What lovely pictures on your blog, Chris! You have been busy with your Christmas cards, and the mini-knits are really cute! What a beautiful view, and I agree that Creation is wonderful. Your kitty is so beautiful too! Like Max, our 2 have made a profession out of Relaxing.

Thanks for your lovely comment. I've still got a lot of sorting and tidying to do in my new ARTHaven, which is going to be in a state of flux for a while! There is also still a lot to sort out in the rest of the house so it will be a while before I can sit down and start creating (at least, with a clear conscience!) Factoring in lots of rest is the other thing - I'm not so well atm and progress on the house is slow! We love it here, though, and know we are going to be very happy, once we get Mum settled properly.

    Happy WOYWW,

  11. Beautiful cards Chris but that view is stunning! I'd move my craft room into the back bedroom, then again, I'd spend too much time staring out of the window and not get anything done! I reckon we can learn an thing or two from cats about life! So far the snow is staying away, but they've got 2" on the West side of the state where we like to go camping!
