WOYWW 367

Hello WOYWWers, this is going to be a short post, mainly because I am writing this on my phone. However
as this is all about our worktops, I will show what was effectively my  worktop at 11 am yesterday, Caen Hill  locks,  although by that point we had already done 11 locks before we tackled these 16, and then another 6 beyond  to Devizes.

As you can see, much of it was done in the pouring rain, as a consequence, today's work place may well look like this, at least if I have my own way, although the inexhaustible  Mr D. might expect me to plod on even further.
Anyway, you may, dear reader, be wondering why I am telling you this? If you click on the link it will take you to the inestimable LunchLadyJan who is hosting What's on your work top Wednesday.
Thanks you for reading my drivel, and if you make a comment, I will do my best to get back to you, but with internet access rather sketchy on the canal, it may not be for a few days.
Just edited because all the comments so far have understood that we had continuous rain yesterday and we didn't, just some of the time and glorious sunshine other times.
Bless you and have a happy day
Chris

Love the sense of humour that is coming through the rain - what a wonderful way to spend your holiday time. Shame the sun did not shine for you, hope it does before the holiday ends..
Have a good week,
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

Morning Chris.
No post today - too busy trying to keep J out of hospital... Doing a bit better this morning. Just having his breakfast - 11.24am!!
Hmm - yes... Rather a lot of locks. I'm sure it would have looked spectacular in the sun - but the pouring rain?! Trouble is, of course, once you start you have to do a Magnus Magnusson - and finish! Trust you get a good long look at that armchair today!
Take care. Will hopefully pop over to yours tomorrow or Friday. Hoping to meet up with the "days for girls" lady next Tuesday, see if they can help PCM.
Love to A. Enjoy the boat.
God bless.
Margaret

Hi Chris, I do hope the weather is being a little kinder to you. It's been just as horrible up here in the Midlands, the occasional sunny spell, then a downpour! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #5 xxx

Hope you are having a great holiday despite the weather. We have been quite lucky here, with more dry weather than rain. It's certainly making everywhere look very green. You are in a very beautiful part of the world.
Have a good week.

Its good you can have fun even in the rain. That chair looks comfy. I think I would sleep instead of working if I sat in it!
Have a great day.

Hi Chris, looks like you're having a great time. I went walking yesterday and only just got back in time before it poured it down. I'm on catch-up this week but here now to wish you a happy belated woyww, Angela x 20

I'm sorry you are having rain while the rest of the UK is enjoying hot weather. Anyway your chair looks very comfortable. Is it the chair on the barge?
Thanks for taking the trouble to blog at all, it must be difficult. I canp't do it on my tablet let alone on my phone!
Have a great week,
Lisca
PS I have been admiring your die storage/shelving at Margaret's. Did Mr D make that?

I walked along these locks a couple of years ago! It seems such hard work to get through them all!

Happy WOYWW. I remember being on a canal boat and getting excited about locks - for the first few - and then it all got very boring! Hubby sometimes mentions going on a possible canal holiday, but I know we would kill each other! Ali x #30
