WOYWW 416

HAPPY 8th WOYWW Anniversary  everyone and a special thank you to Madame Julia for hosting this wonderful community of crafters.

As usual, we are away on our boat this time of year,

so my worktop is the dinette table on the boat, so I can only do a bit at a time. Every time I get on a roll, I have to stop, cook a meal and clear everything away so we can eat. Or I have to go and operate a lock, or 3 or more, but I  couldn't miss the eight anniversary of WOYWW so I have to try and join in this week.
What you see there is that I have been playing with PanPastels to produce coloured backgrounds.

And then I stamped on them, which gives me something with which to make emergency cards quickly.
And here you see Max very bored with the whole process.
And this was last night's sunset over the canal at Welford.
So tomorrow we are off to the boat show at Crick, where we may or may not have any signal for me to reply to comments,  but thank you for your visits and comments and I will try my best to respond.
Bless you all and Happy WOYWW.
Chris

  2. You live the life I only dream about. You have no idea how lucky you are, even if you don't have craft space to do it in. Happy 8th Anniversary from # 1.

  3. Morning Chris!!
Safe and enjoyable travelling to the show. I'll try to pop over today or tomorrow to check things out. Love those backgrounds and stampings. It was good to see you on Saturday - and thanks for the great dinner!! Kept me going all the way home. Didn't find that junction, though, so made my way to Lutterworth and came home as usual.
    Take care. God bless.

  8. It could be worse; if you were on the Coventry Canal you would have the Atherton flight to contend with and then you'd get no crafting done! Enjoy the restful pace of life on the water! Sarah #27

  12. Love your emergency cards, and appreciate the effort in your limited space, noticed yesterdays blog, we love beddgelet, I once got eaten to death by midges when we camped there, and it predated those funky gates... happy woyww doone @23

  14. Oh, wow! You are living my dream life :) I wonder... how does your cat react to being aboard the canalboat? Hubby and I would love to get on the water - probably a small boat to start (11 or 14 footer?) but worry about how the 3 cats and our dog will react.
Great desk too - even if you have to clear it every time you need to use the table for something else - bet it makes you a VERY tidy crafter though :)
    Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

  16. Sunsets like that and good days on the water can more than make up for a dinette table! I admire you for doing anything while you're away, I never get round to it!

  19. "Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing--absolutely nothing--half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." I really like your river/canal photos. Your sleepy cat stole my heart on sight.

  21. Happy 8th Anniversary! I love that you spend the summer on the boat...but I can imagine how frustrating to not have a clear space for crafting. I just heard about pan pastels..they look intriguing. Have a fabulous week!

  23. Happy WOYWW 8th year to you too! Love those pan pastels but haven't invested in them because I have so many other medium to play with I can't justify it. Love the colors tho! My cats seem to think that they have to be wherever I happen to be at that point in time and like Max are currently scattered about the craft space where ever they can find a bare spot. Love the sunset...very nice! Have a great week. Vickie #55

  24. Happy 8th anniversary and oh how nice to be boating. It's tough to stop and start the creative process but we'll worth it being on a boat. I'd make myself a box desk and hide it on the floor somewhere in a corner lol. Gave a wonderful trip hugs Nikki last place

  26. That boat is awesome, bet you have lovely trips with it. And how lovely to be able to craft while floating, both will have a calming effect I bet, even though you need to clear up constantly, I have the same with sitting outside now, but worth while. Happy belated WOYWW, Vicky
