WOYWW 575

It's Wednesday again!! They keep galloping around, and I can't keep up. First of all, I need to apologise to all those lovelies who commented on my page last week, that I didn't get round to many desks, somehow every time I tried to get back to the computer, Sir required my muscles or a hand or a brain!!! to help him with drains, or ordering stuff for the new bathroom. The plumber is  not coming to install everything until July 16th but my man will be demolishing the utility room weeks before if I am not alert to stop him.
So my desk
There is the beginning of a robot card for a soon to be 5 great nephew, and some Christmas stamps from Julia, and various bits of detritus left from previous card making.
Last week I shared that I had to make a card for another great nephew and lacked ideas, I cheated, rang my sister who said that during lockdown young Carl had enjoyed playing chess against his dad, rather him than me, I think his dad would have check mated me in about 3 moves. I am sure I took a picture of it before I put the card in the post, but can't find it on either my phone or my tablet .
So why am I blathering on here, all part of an amazing crafty desk share hosted by the wonderful Julia. She has been hosting it for eleven years and more, so well worth a visit.
That's all for me today, bless you for visiting
Chris

Morning Chris.Great card coming along there. Oh my!!! A is going ahead with swapping the shower room and the utility, then? I won't recognize your place whenever I get to come visit, will I??!! I love those stamps. Especially the Prince of Peace one. Yes, the project for Chris S did rather send me doolally - but he was thrilled with it - so that's fine. Must remember to send it on to Joy and my brother...
Hope you get to craft and bl,og visit this week, and A doesn't require your multi-faceted skills.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

The robot card is adorable and is sure to please any 5-year-old! Well done. I hope you get your house renovations completed soon. It must be a nightmare getting anyone to come and do things at the moment. Before the lockdown I phoned the plumber to come and service our boiler and he failed to keep the appointment (he's not very reliable so I'm going elsewhere in future) and of course since then I haven't been able to get anything done.

Thank you for your visit. So glad you like my jumper. I finished the ribbing late last night and it's come out looser than before but I'm happy with it - it will just give the jumper a slightly different look from before. The mis-shapenness of it doesn't seem to show, either. I have decided to leave the sleeves as they are because when I tried it on, they don't seem to be too long any more. So it's really nearly finished now and ready to wear next winter. Onwards and upwards to the next UFO on the list!

The kitties certainly know how to relax, and it's hard to associate them like this with the wild beasts they were in the garden the other day with that bird!!

Happy WOYWW,

Love your robot, he's great. Boys cards are always tricky. I really struggle with them.
Good Luck with your alterations, sounds like you are going to have an upheaval on your hands.

Hi Chris, love the little robot guy. I have had a similar situation my husband this week. He is making a whelping box for my sister and keeps asking my opinion/suggestions. Always difficult when you don’t have a plan to go from. I like the stamp that says “Just checking.....”. Happy WOYWW Angela #28

Wouldn't worry about the chess card picture being absent - I do that all the time. Just as they reach the mailroom I remember I have not taken a photo. Ah well, must be something to do with the name Chris. (my middle name). Great idea with the robot card, that should go down a storm, and good luck with the Christmas cards when you start them. My early start went out the window in January.
Take care, stay well and safe

Hi Chris, oh my grandsons would love the robot card ... I'll have to save that idea for their next birthdays. I've just realised I need to make a birthday card for Mr M for next week - so I'd best get my skates on. I joined Ancestry for the free 2 weeks, and then thought I'd stay a member until I've researched all I need to. I don't think I'll go back much further than I have - I'm now busy validating all the information gathered from other trees ... some people really don't check their facts - like a man fathering a child 3 years after he died in the 1800s ... or a woman giving birth and 2 years later her child is 8!! I'm learning plenty as I go along though. Lots of fun. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #3

Ah its all glamour isn’t it, helping with drains! I know from kitchen experience that eventually we started to dread having to choose anything else - there’s so much choice and when you dont agree, you have to go looking again! I love the new kitchen but a lot of it (even the colour) is Mr Dunnits choice because I got to the stage of just wanting the kitchen without the decisions, so I hope your new bathroom is much easier. Although, I am familiar with the having to ‘hold him back’ from weeks early preparations!
The robot card is a triumph Chris, well done! It’s not cheating to call your sister and ask for a pointer or two, it really isn’t! I bet after all that though, you could just about throw the phone away as its lost the picture after all that!

Hi Chris,

I saw your comment on Neet's post about a die for the Paper Hugs and I wanted you to know that there is one. The company is called The Stamp Market. https://thestampmarket.com/product/paper-hug-die. There is die and matching stamp. I bought both and just stamped a few directly one the cards and also did a few die cuts. But honestly, I think the die alone is all you need because you could cut it from black card. If you'd like me to cut you some, just email me at darnell dot knauss at gmail dot com. I hope you're keeping well. Love the way the fun robot is shaping up for your great nephew's card! Hugs, Darnell
