WOYWW 269

Good morning all, and just look at my messy desk. Not much done this week, but at least I seem to have found a way to get the creative juices flowing. In a weak moment I agreed to do some alterations for someone. Well what a nightmare? They have taken much more work than I anticipated,  so I have been to and fro past the work numerous times and have had to discipline myself not to get side tracked into crafting, all the while the brain has been mulling over the task of finishing the cards and coming up with lots of ideas.

Anyway, at last yesterday I could play, so some of those ufos that I have been looking at all week have been finished, or nearly, and will be dealt wwith this morning.
So what can you see on the worktop? Oh look there is Max, pretending to sleep, but if I go more than a few steps away he would be off there in a flash asking 'Is it second breakfast time?'
Also on the glass mat are five cards, none of which you can see very well, so better picture here.
In the middle is the Christmas card I made with the stamping and colouring I showed you last week, with grateful thanks to Shaz in Aus for the idea of how to finish it.
Front right of top picture is some pretty ribbon I bought a week ago and haven't got round to putting away and at the back is my homemade gelli plate that hasn't come out of the container yet.
I'm sure you willl find some other interesting desk at our host, the lady Julia and her link to the crafting world.
Just before you go, I have decided to take part in the Summertime photography scavenger hunt, see link on lefthand side bottom, but if you want a laugh, click on the linnk top left and see avery non communicating notice.
Well that's all for now, thanks for visiting and I will get round to lots of desks eventually.
Well I seem to be having lots of trouble with technology this morning. I published my bolg but when I uploaded to Julia's it wasn't there so I will try again.
Bless you
Chris

Well done - that Peace card looks great. Glad you got the alteration done. Now, if you are bored, there's a wedding dress in which 18feet of skirt has to be squeezed into a very tiny waist line of the bodice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have done all the gathering stitching - but still not sure how it is all going to go in!
Take care. God bless.
Margaret #1 WHICH number??? How on earth did I manage THAT???!!!

OK so it's not Friday, but your glittery cards made me smile, the idea of alterations or any sort of structured shaped sewing? Not so much :)

Happy WOYWW!

Wow, I am loving the scenic card at the top! Would never have thought of using those colours together, but they work stunningly well. Love the wispy clouds past the moon. You know I am going to be CASE'ing this, don't you? lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shax #6 xxx

Love the cards. I am not sure I would get much done at your desk as I would be too easily distracted being so close to the window, it's not difficult LOL!
Have a good week and happy crafting, Angela x # 38

What a perfect place to craft looking out the window on the world no wonder Max is content unless food is being served. Yoda would love it there too. Love those cards of yours all masterpieces. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your visit earlier - the stitching on the cushion says - To Veronica, with love from Auntie Christine, and the date. All the writing on the cushions follow the same format, To xxx with love from Grandma, the date. Jesus always comes first in one way or another - sat preaching at a muslim wedding on Friday, just discussing our viewpoints on Jesus!
Love your cards, haven't even started mine yet!
