WOYWW 285

Oh dear, another Wednesday means Christmas is another week closer, and I am not another week more prepared.  At this rate we will be having Christmas around the middle of February, I seem to have just run out of steam with making cards.
Anyway this is going to be a short post, desk queen Julia will be proud of me.
So this was my desk at 7pm on Tuesday before I went out, and nothing will change until this evening when I return.
In the centre you can see the makings of a birthday card for a one year old great niece and on the left a finished special Christmas card.
On the right there is the corner of my essential tool box, this contains all those things without which I simply cannot craft. Twice I have dropped it at craft club and it made such a mess. I did wonder just how much of the junk really is essential but it all got stuffed back in.
Piled up there on the window sill are more Christmas card bits including lots of die cuts from a die I  returned to Margaret yesterday.
Well I have a busy day today so will not be doing any visiting until this evening or tomorrow morning,  or even later, but I will get round some desks before next week!

Thank you so much for dropping by.

Chris

busy desk! I know what you mean about not being anywhere near prepared for the holidays. I have some cards ready but not nearly enough and we leave Saturday for a week and we get home and 2 weeks later I go off with my DD for a week long Caribbean cruise. I wonder why I do this to myself! Have a great week. Vickie #17

The first thought that came to my head when I opened your page was - this is so soothing and calming. These green and beige tones are so relaxing. Don't worry about Christmas, it is coming if you are prepared or not. I just got 5 tags ready......

I know how you feel.... so hard to find the mojo to create Xmas cards. I almost need the sense of time running out before I get started!!

Hi Chris - I hope you're ok, you sound a bit frazzled. Your desk looks great - I love that Christmas card, and the first birthday one will be lovely. What a good idea, to share dies and cut loads. Look after yourself, and have a great week. Hugs, another Chris, # 8

Happy WOYWW. I actually love making Xmas cards when I get round to it - but I do fantasise about just buying a box of charity cards and giving them out! Ali x #42

Hi Chris, thanks for the visit. I had to grin at the Keep Calm sign at the back of your desk, could do with one of those. I thought I was doing well with the Christmas cards until my mum asked if she could have five of them, well I couldn't say no but it has reduced the number I now have so will have to get my finger out Lol!
Have a great crafty week, Angela x 28

Hi Chris I know what you mean. Last Friday I thought we were going to my son's for Christmas Day. Sunday it changed and they are coming here. I don't mind except that I'm not sure when I'm going to fit in shopping etc for it. I am tied up every weekend and part of each week until Sunday before Christmas :-( I really think I will have to buy some cards I am tied up with preparation for a Charity Craft Fair I agreed to take part in - am regretting it now. I was awake until 5am this morning - so much on my mind. Hope you get on top of things. Anne x #34

Oh, I'm sure that everything is essential in that craft caddy of yours! You can't possibly jettison anything cos as soon as you do, you'll need said item the next day!!

Hi Chris, now that is what I call a neat desk! So, if Christmas doesn't happen until February you just get to enjoy your Christmas decorations longer than others do! LOL! Looking forward to visiting often,

Thanks for visiting my blog, Chris, and for your kind comments. The craft fair went well -- it was fun! That Manor house is such fun to make, and everyone loves it. Mary Kowal has a new one out now. I will be buying that file --- can't resist her wonderful 3D files! I did make that one as a haunted house and my grandkids loved it. I had some photos of the Manor House at the craft show and it got many positive comments. The Winter Gazebo was my obligatory donation to the craft fair and I was told that everyone wanted to win it. (The donated items were raffled for the charity) Have a great week!

I never get anything done until the last minute but that's how I roll and work well under pressure. I'm playing catch up with visiting this week. Thank you for popping by Anita #35

Lovely card there on the left. Beautiful. Don't worry about not getting it all done. That's not what Christmas is all about as you well know.
Sorry I'm late, but I like to take my time and look at everybody's blog. I read it all and look at the links etc.
Thank you for letting me look over your shoulder.
Have a good week,
