WOYWW 479

So here we are again, sharing our crafty desks with anyone who visits our wonderful host Julia at her Stamping Ground.
So my desk

Nothing like as productive as last week as we have been rather busy round the new "estate"! I spend nearly two solid days scraping wall paper in the park home, then there was some urgent plumbing and propping up a lean to to prevent it collapsing and then Tuesday morning, OH announced that he had ordered ballast and concrete mixer to be delivered on Wednesday and we hadn't prepared the ground by the shed for a new path, so most of Tuesday was spent clearing the site and filling a trailer with rubble and a bin full of nettles. And gathering a lot of aching muscles and several bruises in the process!
However I did just manage a birthday card for OH's 96 year old uncle,  and a couple of Christmas cards.

I did also have had time to play a little. A few weeks ago I played with some alcohol inks and decided that I didn't really like the finished item for a board, so decided to see what happened if I die cut some sentiments from it, they are rather interesting and unusual.

With luck I might get a chance to do something with before next Wednesday.
Thanks for reading my drivel and have a great WOYWW.
Oh, and we still don't have broadband, and I haven't even managed to get to speak to someone at BT to issue an ultimatum, just two automated promises of call backs, which didn't happen!

Lovely effect with the diecuts.
Sounds as if you two haven't had a moment to yourselves. So much to do. So much already done.
Glad you got a few moments to make some cards, very relaxing - well I hope it was.
Take care
Blessings, Neet 1 xx

I hope you're being a bit careful as it wasn't that long ago that you were hobbling around on sticks! I know how it is in a new place though, we were exactly the same last year and decorated every room apart from the stairs and landing! Hope it's all going well but the broadband is a nuisance...
Hugs LLJ 9 xx

Like the die cut sentiments. You've certainly been busy ... as well as fitting in some busy crafting as well. The birthday card is so serene and lovely and the CHristman cards are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a good day - Hazel, WOYWW #15 x

Hi Chris, love the idea of cutting sentiments from pieces that don't 'work' as a whole. Given me a great idea to use up some of my own. Hard work in the garden there, bet you ached the next day! Love the cards. I hate the fact that it's almost impossible to speak to a human being these days- all this automated stuff drives me crazy. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #3 XxX

Hi Chris, what a busy week you've had! I like your die cut sentiments, but need to ask how you will stick these to cards please? I use glue but since they are so fine the glue seems to go everywhere so I give up! Any advice would be most welcome. Thank you. Have a lovely week Heather x #33

Hi Chris, I think BT want a good kick up the rear as this is rubbish! Great way to use the card, the die cuts look great. Sounds like you've been busy too. I have worked on some more pebbles but been backwards and forwards to parents as first the phone stopped working then the electric went off which set the care alarm and stair lift bleeping like mad and to finish it off mum got all the wires stuck in her electric chair and dad pulled them all out so it wouldn't work, never a dull moment! Take care and hope to see you soon, Angela x12x

Argh Chris, automated message and trying to find someone to tell something that doesnt crop up on a menu. Makes you want to smack someone! I didnt realise the new estate would cause you so much work...but I guess of all things, a path is a must. I hope it went well once it had all arrived. Gracious it sounds like v hard work! Love the Oh Holy Night card. My favourite Carol, too!
