WOYWW 566

Hi lovelies,
How is everyone coping with 'house arrest'?
This was my desk yesterday afternoon! I finished all the Easter cards and thought I would completely clear everything before sorting drawers and tackling a Space/Star wars themed 50th birthday card, anyone gone any ideas?

And these are all the Easter cards I made, I don't usually send them, but somehow I felt it was appropriate this year.

When not making cards, mending, gardening etc, I have found time for permitted exercise,  dodging the crowds!  this is probably 400 yards from home, across the ploughed field to the left.

You are receiving this exciting opportunity to read my rubbish due to the wonderful hosting of  Madame Julia  , do go and visit to see more craft filled blogs.
Thank you for reading my drivel and I will try to respond to your comments.
Have a good day and keep sane in these difficult times.
Chris

I think you are safe exercising in that field Chris, can't see any police cars coming to arrest you on there.
|What a lot of lovely Easter cards you have made and yes, you are right, they are more than appropriate this year of all years. Well done Chris.
Glad you and Adrian are keeping safe and well - sorry I am no help with the Space/Star Trek card - what about Pinterest?
Blessings to you both, Neet 2 xx

Amazing set of completed Easter cards they are all so beautiful. The ploughed field opens up so many different exercises you could start... Stay safe.

It's the need to keep in communication with people isn't it - youv'e done the cards and I've phoned lots of folk. Important to do in these mad times. That looks a good place to stretch your legs in safety - there are lots of paths around us which are usually deserted but even if you do meet someone else, they're good about keeping their distance.
Keep safe and well,

Love the Easter cards especially bottom row 3rd from left. Looks like you have a great place to take exercise, we aren't allowed out for that purpose. Have a good week. ANi#12

Morning Chris. Woah there... that's really your desk? You have really done well since I was there the other week - was it really only three weeks ago? Hope you had a great anniversary at the weekend. Great selection of Easter cards. I don't usually send them either.. but yes, I have done far more this year - just reminding folks that Jesus died and rose again seems important in these strange and different times.
Take care of yourselves. Phoned Ian and Helen O yesterday. They are keeping well. Also heard from Mary T - she is in full card making and craft mode!
Stay safe. God bless.

Looks a great place to walk safely - the pavements etc are so busy I try to avoid if I can and we only live on a housing estate in a town. Goodness knows what it is like for city dwellers. I love the cards. Happy Easter. xx Jo

What beautiful views! I think we will have to change this meet up to What through your window! lol mine is a view of houses.... over the road cleaned all their drive and their neighbours yesterday, so wanted to shout over 'Come and do mine PLEASE!' but managed to restrain myself. the son phoned peter and asked him if he was alright and needed anything..... two days later stood and watched me struggle up the road to post a letter .... men for men I suppose.
Love all those cards you've made. I usually post out Easter cards but not this year..... but I'll be bach!!!
Take care and stay safe

Your creative space looks sparkling, what a happy place to create. Well done on the Easter cards they will be even more special when received for sure.
That's a fabulous place to gather thoughts and exercise, we have a super nature walk but the sun brings many more people out to dodge.
Take care & Happy Easter Tracey #24

Good afternoon! I love seeing your easter cards. I wanted to send out Easter cards but not sure I will have enough time. Your cards are lovely. Nature is definitely been healing for me too. On warm days, I spend some time out in my yard and in a few weeks I will work in the garden. Stay well.

Hi Chris, lots of crafters seem to be tidying craft spaces lately. This confinement to barracks has a lot to answer for. I don't have any idea on a space/star wars card - but interested to see what you come up with as my son in law is a fan. You've certainly made a good selection of Easter cards. I don't usually send Easter cards, and I didn't make any, although in retrospect I would have liked to this year! Have a lovely week and stay safe, Heather xx #27

Hi Chris, lovely collection of cards. Hope the field was dry. The ploughed field brought back a few memories. One of the farmers had ploughed the public footpath and when we walked over it the mud stuck to our boots so much that we could hardly lift our legs. We were pleased to get off it I can tell you. Wishing you a happy woyww and lots of crafty thoughts to keep you busy, Angela x15x

Hello Chris, that desk looks super tidy!! I do make Easter cards every year (to sell at craft fairs and to commission) but I don't usually send more than 1 or 2. Like you though I have sent a lot this year, yes it does seem appropriate and a nice way to get in touch. Stay home, stay safe, stay well, Happy WOYWW Cindy #26

It’s not drivel! I have to say, I had to look at your blog header to understand I was where I thought I was...your desk is soooooo tidy, it ,looks fab. I cannot help with the card, I’m sorry. I never ever take on themed cards anymore...when I had the shop, people would ask for them and it used to cause me sleepless nights, so now, you get a card that I feel like making for you. I don’t set myself very big challenges!! I’m thankful for the post office at this time, i do agree about the sending of cards. It’s a great way to reach out.

For a star-wars card, I would definitely hunt my mags and papers to find a 'starry/planets' background... good luck and have fun creating it! The landscape-photo made me think you live in my area (Zeeland - the Netherlands) 'cause the fields overhere look the same... clay ground isn't it? Have a nice day. Stay healty, safe and creative. What a lovely tidy desk :). You have made some lovely Easter cards. I haven’t sent any this year, I have been keeping up with birthday cards, but I am losing track of the days in this lockdown. For a Star Wars /space card I think I would look for pictures of Star Trek, good luck with your card x Angela #35

An extremely neat and tidy desk, and eautiful Easter cards, Chris! Regarding the space themed card, there are lots of smashing tutorials online for creating galaxy backgrounds which might be fun. A Darth Vader mask might be good, too!

As for the fabulous photo of the ploughed field, your pancake-flat landscape in Lincolnshire reminds me of childhood Christmases spent in Cambridge with my grandmother, and going for walks over ploughed fields - the furrows were hard with frost and you could easily turn your ankle! The East wind was bitter. Mum and Dad lived in Cambridge for about 10 years after retiring, and Dad told me he heard on the local radio one day, a lady reminiscing about the bitter cold East Anglian winters of her youth, and saying "that bitter East wind used to blow straight over from the Urinals." Lol lol!!!

Stay safe and well, and happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #17

The Easter cards are fabulous and a lovely way to stay in touch with someone. I love the clean and clutter free desk - definitely my sort of desk - all ready for work!
Enjoy your muddy walks - it looks wonderfully isolated there!
Have a good week and stay safe and well,
