WOYWW 520

Morning,  or afternoon all, nearly missed out on the celebration day for 10 years
First of all  a picture of the desk.

What you see there is some preparatory work for the crop at the front, and further  back some one who was enjoying the warmth and the company. This picture was actually taken a week ago, since when I have been in hospital having a complete shoulder replacement,  to try to repair the damage I did when I fell in August 2017. Recovery has not been uneventful , still have left arm immobilized,  quite a lot of pain, on and off, and the pain relief is causing it's own problems.
I am still hoping to get to the crop,  but probably won't make the decision whether to travel to Margaret's until Friday morning.
Thanks for visiting my desk,  I wil attempt to acknowledge any comments , but don't think I will manage anything deeply intellectual,
Bless you
Chris

Hi Mrs. D, poor you, that sounds so painful! And I totally get the pain killer problem. They kill, or at least deaden the pain, but they tend to make you sleepy too. Do hope you are well enough to join us, but either way, rest yourself as much as possible.Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 X

Well obviously we'd LOVE to see you at the Crop but not to the detriment of your shoulder healing...there'll be another meetup in due course. You must put yourself first. But what I really wanted to say was many congrats on your 50th anniversary - I saw a photo of your cake on Margaret's blog - it was brilliant!!! Hope you had a wonderful time celebrating xx
Happy 10th WOYWW!

My plan is to get round everyone today to wish them a very happy 10th anniversary and to thank you for your friendship and lovely comments over the years.
Sorry to hear about the shoulder op but really hope it heals soon and the pain levels settle down. Put your recovery first and be assured that, yes we will miss you but if need be then rest that shoulder and allow time for it to heal well.
Hugs,

Happy 10th WOYWW to you! Love your crafting assistant! What a dreadful outcome of your fall ... really hope you make a good and speedy recovery from the operation! To this day I do not know how I escaped with nothing but bruises after I fell in our bedroom just before Christmas 2017 ... my head hit the door and my shoulder the bedside cabinet and my knees were black and blue for weeks ... my one hip caught the radiator valve and I landed flat out like a pancake on my very large umbilical hernia ... which also escaped serious damage! I totally appreciate how lucky I was that night. Take good care of yourself and hope you make it to the crop. Love Debbie #25 xXx

Oh Chris you poor thing. I thought it was funny you never seem to be in your tower when we pass. I do hope things work out for you with the shoulder. I'm really late as I was forced to go out with friends today to drink coffee and eat scones.... I could hardly say no! but it has made me late getting round. Wishing you a lovely woyww and a happy gently creative week with hugs, Angela x19X

Happy 10th WOYWW birthday Chris. I do hope that the op has finally put things right for you and that you manage to make it to the crop. I can't believe it's two years since your fall and we met for the first time. Hugs. Sarah #3

I do hope your shoulder mends soon, sorry to hear you've been having problems with the pain killers too - although they can be great at numbing the pain they can have quite unpleasant effects in other ways can't they. I love your little kitty 'helping' you - it's amazing how cats can make themselves so comfortable in the most awkward places!
Happy 10th Anniversary and sorry I'm late getting round,

Hi Chris, sorry I am late visiting. Happy 10th WOYWW anniversary. I joined WOYWW in August 2017, and remember reading about your accident. I didn't realise you were still having treatment. I hope they sort it soon for you - that's a long time to go and still be in pain. Fingers crossed you are able to make it to the Crop, but the main thing is for you to feel better. Have a lovely week, Heather x #30

Hi Chris. Making your mind up on the Friday morning is perfectly acceptable. If you DO come I may beg a favour - and ask A to take Helen to the railway station on the Sunday morning - I have been asked today if I could possibly lead worship that day, as there is no-one else... so will need to be there myself by 10am, and H's train is 10.31 from Colwyn Bay. Eek!!! You are welcome to stay until the Monday if you want to, so you don't have too many long journeys all together - and come on the Thursday to give a day to recover.
Anyway, Happy 10th anniversary - Couldn't comment yesterday as blogger wasn't letting me - bah humbug! - so am trying to get around a few today whilst at least google is working!!!
Take care. God bless.

Oh Chris, your poor body just wants to forget the accident. I sincerely hope the new shoulder will settle in and be totally ‘normal’ for you. Meantime, that’s major surgery and takes a lot of getting over....I agree about the decision to travel being last minute...everything is such an effort when you’re recuperating, please don’t be brave. Gosh I hope you can get comfortable and sort out the pain meds so that they don’t interfere w8th you as well. Nothing worse. Meanwhile am amazed that you’re doing anything at your desk, I would make like kitty and find a splash of sunshine and a very comfy chair......xxxxx

The Woyww-list is quite long in this anniversary-week and I want to visit everyone on it, so I am still making my round... sorry I am late, and sorry to hear you are in pain and immobile, I do hope your shoulder heals quickly so that you can be active again. Take care, have a nice Sunday. Happy late-woyww-anniversary, hug from Holland. Marit #16

Dear Chris, sorry don’t seem to have commented but did read this at time and was praying...am doing pray even now that your recovery is utterly successful in every way.
I want to thank you for your lovely atc that made its way to Oz courtesy of the very kind Jo. I can’t thank Camilla either, each time try access her site the link won’t work, will message Margaret, perhaps though think she’s still away?
Happy VERY belated WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #22
